Undertaking a collaboration with the Penguin Random House Design team in spring 2023, I was tasked with the creation of the Fern Press logo. Briefed to infuse elegance, simplicity, and a natural touch, the objective was to evoke the graceful unfurling of a fern. As described by Suzanne Dean, Creative Director at Vintage, "The logo was created in response to images of unfurling ferns, capturing their awakening to the sun and warming earth. Rather than opting for a more obvious representation of a fern, the team chose a notional and suggestive approach. The resulting logo takes the form of a neat circular shape, encapsulating the global reach of Fern Press and its publishing."

The typeface used for the logo and chosen by the team is Marion Regular.

In addition to the static logo, I was commissioned to produce two animations for social media and in-house applications.
